ENDALWENI PRIVATE GAME RESERVE is situated in a Malaria free area along the banks of the Great Kei River, just 8km's from Kei Mouth and Morgan Bay, two of the WILD COAST'S most beautiful coastal resorts. Peace and tranquility are easy to come by here; among the gently undulating terrain and magnificent gorges that play host to over 20 species of wildlife and an abundance of birdlife. Stay at your leisure and cater to your needs in any of the fully functional self-catering guest suites in the reserve.
Here, you will discover a unique retreat where you can indulge yourself in the magnificence of its beauty and broad bio-diversity of fauna and flora. The following species can be found in the Reserve: impala, blesbuck, bushbuck, nyala, kudu, blue duiker, common duiker, red hartebeest, waterbuck, blue wildebeest, common reedbuck, Burchell's zebra, giraffe, gennet, mongoose, caracal, black-backed jackal, porcupine, bushpig, warthog, leguaan, vervet monkey, baboon as well as a plethora of bird and plant species.
The terrain offers much in walks, mountain biking, bird watching, game viewing, picnicking or just to do as your fancy pleases. Perhaps you might care to dabble in a bit of painting or sketching, or would like to find a spot that you could call your own, and just relax.
The two lodges offer completely different styles of decor. CLEARVIEW LODGE is a fusion of Victorian and Old Colonial, whereas EWANRIGG LODGE lends itself to being more in the old farmstyle genre.
CLEARVIEW LODGE
CLEARVIEW is so named because of the magnificent vistas observed from the lodge out toward Kei Mouth across to Morgan Bay. The lodge has 3 full en suite double bedrooms, 1 of which can be made up into 2 single beds. There are 2 reception rooms, a dining room, pantry and a fully equipped kitchen. There is a quaint thatch rondavel near the lodge, where the housekeeper will stay for the duration of your visit. A television is available on request.
EWANRIGG LODGE
EWANRIGG offers 2 self-catering units:
The NYALA ROOM sleeps 2 people; 2 singles or a king size bed is available. There is a fully stocked kitchenette, full en suite bathroom and you will also have access to the reception areas of the guest lodge. The Nyala Room offers full DSTv.
The COTTAGE offers 2 en suite bedrooms, a reception area and an open plan kitchen and dining area. 2 single beds or a king size bed is available in the 2nd bedroom. There is also a pull-out sleeper couch in the lounge. You will also have access to the reception areas of the guest lodge. The COTTAGE offers full DSTV.
