Yellowwood Forest offers an unconventional camping experience for nature lovers and family holidays. This unique forest retreat on the bank of the Inchara River is 1km from Morgan bay beach. Its 30 camp sites, rustic self catering cabins and new luxury self catering Cob Cottage, all break with tradition in a variety of delightful ways.
This Eco-friendly site is protected from the wind and sun. It has a gift shop, licensed tea garden restaurant, pizzeria and Dstv sport on the big screen. Wireless Internet and pre-paid vouchers are available and there’s firewood for sale.
There are bunnies, guinea pigs, birds and a magical playground with a tree house. The decks, ladders, bridge, swings, slides, trampolines, toys, bikes and carts will keep kids amused, so come hungry and make yourself at home. The river has a small natural swimming hole with high rocks surrounding it from which to do bomb drops and forest trails to explore. Bring your bicycle! A short walk/ride away is the Morgan bay dam for bass fishing, swimming and canoeing.
The campsite has 30 stands, 10 of which have electrical points. There are a variety of shady sites to choose from, all with lush lawns and trees. Some sites receive full morning sun and welcome shade in the afternoon, while others are shady in the morning and sunny later on in the day. Sites further from the entrance offer peace and quiet in the shade of Acacia Karoo thorn trees, while sites closer to the playground and tea garden provide shelter under enormous forest trees.
Our beautiful campsite is best shared and enjoyed in season, when we are busiest. We pride ourselves in offering more sites than we allow people, so that campers always have a choice of at least 3 sites, even at year end, when we're full. We can even assist you with erecting your tent!
Out of season:
R115 per site per night
R15 per person per night
R65 for electricity per night
R225 per site per night
R25 per person per night
R75 per person per night
