This north-facing, semi-detached, double storey cottage sleeps 2 adults and has a fantastic view of the Great Kei river. The deck is partially covered and has a 1.5m x 1.2m plunge pool and Weber braai. Free uncapped WiFi at 4Mbps with TV Box and Netflix. Property is fenced and gated.
Upstairs is a bedroom with Queen sized bed, built in cupboards and a second deck that faces the street.
Downstairs is a lounge and kitchen, with an adjoining bathroom, with shower and toilet. There is a TV with Mini-HiFi and a satellite dish connection - please bring your own DSTV decoder. There is a wide range of cables for connecting all models of decoders and the owner will happily assist with setup, should you require.
The kitchen has a microwave, four plate gas hob, kettle, toaster, fridge freezer, pots and pans, plates, bowls, cups, glasses and all of the necessary cutlery. Brown sugar, Nescafe Classic, tea, salt, pepper, braai spice and a selection of Robertson spices are included. Matches and fire lighters for the Weber are in the cupboard. There is a top loader washing machine with washing powder, in a cupboard under the stairs.
Linen, bath towels, hand soap and toilet paper are supplied. Please bring your own toiletries and beach towels.
Please Note: The cottage is semi-detached, this means it shares a common wall with the other half of the house, where the owner lives (see below). The bathroom is a little on the small side and the sliding shower door has a maximum opening of 40cm, so it may not be suitable for larger guests. There is backup water from a rainwater tank and pump, and there is backup lighting downstairs in the event of a power failure/loadshedding.
The unit has an area map, list of nearby attractions, restaurants and other useful contact info.

About your host
Hi, I'm Gareth.
I've been living here since 2007 and work from home, doing all of the marketing work for a local hotel, as well as Morgan Bay Tourism and Kei Mouth Tourism, and I also do tech support for clients of an East London based ISP, when they need me to. This means that I am mostly at home working from my computer. I go out when I have call outs and also when the weather is good, because I’m always looking for nice photos that I can post on the Facebook pages that I manage.
I recently converted half of my house into a self-contained flat that I rent out for weekends and holidays (Aloe Cottage). The two halves are not connected, but they do share an interior wall. Aloe Cottage's swimming pool and deck are shielded from my side of the house by a wooden screen. I draw my lounge curtains when I have guests and I don’t use the back yard, so your privacy is guaranteed.
I am readily available to assist my guests with their requests, otherwise I like to leave them to their own devices.
