Oregon Cottage is a cosy, open-plan, self-catering accommodation unit suitable for two, tucked away in the quieter part of town, on the edge of a large, protected, indigenous riverine forest.
The forest is home to buck, prolific bird life and many other species of animals, which makes it a perfect hideaway for nature lovers and, in particular, birding enthusiasts.
The building style is a fusion of contemporary brick and mortar with traditional ‘cob’ (clay) building methods.
The lounge/dining area and bedroom both have French doors that open onto a (weather permitting) sunny, north-facing patio. The undercover ‘braai’ area, plus a comfy hammock and hammock chair, create a mellow space for outdoor
enjoyment and ‘chillaxing.’
The galley-style kitchen has a fridge freezer, gas stove with oven and a microwave.
There is a queen sized bed, a small lounge/dining room area, and the bathroom has a shower, not a bath.
Oregon Cottage is about 1,5 km from the beachfront. A minute or two by car, but not the easiest of walks, as there are a few steep hills on the way.
There is secure, off-street parking and wi-fi. We regret no pets or children.
